GLUE EAR - Case Study
Female child age 6, presented with a history of ear aches and chronic middle ear infections (glue ear). Grommets had failed to assist and had been removed.
Upon examination, the ears were red, raw and painful. Allergy testing was carried out with the results showing a number of food sensitivities - most notably dairy products, (the child ate lots of cheese and yoghurt).
Treatment involved a high-calcium dairy-free diet along with desensitisation homeopathic drops.
Follow-up consultation three weeks later revealed the ears were much improved - normal colour with no sign of infection and most importantly no pain.
A maintenance program was commenced and the child has had no ear ache since.
